Join us in the Pearl of the Jurassic Coast, Lyme Regis, famous for the story of Mary Anning and the birth place of palaeontology. The charming winding streets of Lyme Regis filled with independent boutique shops, a working town mill, art galleries, literary connections and 4 beaches each with their own character - no wonder people fll in love with Lyme and come back time and again. We do too.
Lyme Eats Boutique arrives on the third Friday of the summer months on Gun Cliff Walk, on the eastern side of town. Stroll along the coast path to find us sandwiched between the vibrant Marine Theatre and Church Cliff beach, a greta each for swimming at high tide. From the walls around us you can look out to sea, spot dolphins and watch the the hustle and bustle of Lyme.
We’re ready to serve from 4pm until the sun goes down or the food runs out.

Head down to the sea and look east, unless you’re coming down the steps from Charmouth road car park, in which case look west. You’ll see our yellow flags and a stone tower, which is very near the Marine Theatre. You may see our colourful canopies, use what3words: expel.mermaids.undulation

Parking in Lyme is lucky. On busy days you might be hard pushed to find s[aces in the public car parks. Click here to find out where they all are. Some stop charging at 6pm.

Buses run from Axminster, Seaton, Bridport and Dorchester.
The park and ride operates at the weekends and the last bus is at 7pm. Since we start at 4pm that gives you plenty of time to enjoy time with us as part of your day out in Lyme Regis.
Trains arrive in Axminster.
Stuart Line Cruises are a great way to see the coast too.

We use spaces that belong to the public so they are accessible as far as the landscape makes it possible. Ramp access, no traffic and nearby loos are essential. Accessible loos are part of this public realm and may require your radar key. We are a busy space but we keep volume at a level where you can talk to each other (because thats what you do when you share food). Take a few steps away to the beach or grassy areas of you need a bit more calm.
There is no entrance fee ever to our markets and you’re not obliged to buy anything to enjoy the vibe. Our event is for everyone. But, if you do get something you are helping us (and our event) to stay alive. Drinks start at 50p at the bar (plus the cup hire).

We take both! Most food traders prefer a card as it means they don't have to handle cash and food at the same. The only way to get cash in Beer is at the post office which closes at around 4pm.

Our line up of traders changes at every market and I publish the menu for each event about 4 or 5 days before, on our digital media channels, and in each calendar event on this page. You can also sign up for emails and SMS messages to get the menu first.
We have lots of traders and no two markets have the same line up. Each trader is their own business and so each trader has their diary of events. They choose to join us and I try to make sure we have a good balance of cuisine.
The only stall you will always find is our resident mobile bar or pop up pub, The Salty Arms.

We try to ensure that there is always something for everyone and many traders will have gluten free, vegetarian and vegan options. All the food is prepared by those who are serving it to you so they know whats in their dishes. Please always ask if you feel unsure - these guys love to talk about there food.

We try to accommodate for all tastes. Let children run (a little bit) wild while you enjoy a stress free meal with no washing up - we are in a pedestrianised area on the south west coast path. Just below us is Church Cliff beach (which is dog friendly) and lovley for swimming. At low tide there is a flat rock to explore. Next to us there’s a grassy slope, as well as the famous statue of Mary Anning and her dog. There are walls to climb on but some have a big drop the other side.

The Salty arms is a mobile bar, our pop up pub, our one and only resident trader. We stock lots of drinks from our local producers, things you can’t get in the shops. We use a cup hire scheme because it works brilliantly.
The Salty arms is also available to hire for parties, events and weddings. We’re more than just a bar, we’ll crew your do so you don’t have to. Bespoke packages available as every party is unique.

At the Salty Arms the cup hire scheme has become really successful as deposit schemes at events become the norm. We charge £1.50 for our sturdy plastic cups in addition to the price of the drink. When you’re finished with the cup bring it back to the bar and we’ll refund you £1 in cash.
This means you pay 50p for use of our cup, which covers the cost of washing them to re-use at the next event. You are not obliged to use our cups and we’ll happily use yours with our measured drinks so you can avoid this cost. We use the scheme so that we
don't lose too may of our decent cups (we all have a sticky fingered friend),
we can replace the damaged cups that reach the end of their life,
we can keep our drinks affordable,
we’re not bringing glass into the public realm or onto our beaches
and we don't use single use plastic.
Its a win all round.
